Hi, my name is Liz.  I'm a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.  I was one of those kids that had to have an Easy Bake Oven (now I'm giving away my age). I always loved to cook and bake and through the years I learned from my mom, grandmother, family and friends' great recipes.

Whether it's a traditional meal or something more creative, I love to do it. So, this blog is intended to bring all of that to you.  Recipes, stories, entertaining tips and more.  In fact, let me know what you want to hear about, and I'll do my best to make that happen!

I also love make-up!   Ever since I was a kid, I've played around with it. Do you remember the first lipstick you had?  I do.  It was Tangee. At that time, it was the only lipstick my mom would allow me to have at 13 years old.    It came bright orange out of the tube, went on clear and then changed to the prefect color to match your skin tone. Sort of like the mood rings most of us had.  I just found out Tangee is still available!  Same lipstick, different price.  Well, I've graduated since that time to every lipstick color there is and my daughter and granddaughters kid me about how many lipsticks, potions and lotions I own. I say if that's my only vice, I think its ok.   Same thing with eyeshadows, mascaras and everything else.  I look at like a well-stocked pantry.  I am always able to reach for whatever I need to create the look I want just like I can walk into my pantry and pull together the ingredients I need for a yummy meal or bake a great cake!  

 

 ​And that's where the two meet!   Cooking and Beauty. Both are creative endeavors.  Both require some skill and maybe some imagination. But anyone can do either and I'm here to tell you how.
